A full day holiday session 0930-1600 working on mountain bike skills, coaching on tricky features, a led ride, navigation and bike maintenance skills.
Limited group of up to 10 participants will receive expert coaching on progressive skills, allowing them to confidently ride challenging trails and features. Our aim is not only to improve riding skills but also to develop mtb independence whilst showcasing some of the best trails Yorkshire has to offer.
Throughout the event, our experienced coaches will guide participants through a variety of terrain and conditions, including steep terrain, jumping, loose surfaces, rocky terrain, dynamic balance, railing corners, braking for pros, bunny hops, drops, and crafty climbing. The session is designed to promote independence, bike skills, and fitness, while also providing a fun and engaging experience. To break up the day we will be doing a lot navigation exercises, trailside repair sessions and how to deal with emergencies discussions.
To participate, riders must dress appropriately for the conditions and expect to get muddy! A working and high-quality mountain bike is essential, and riders must be able to ride it for 3+ hours off-road. Helmets are compulsory, and we recommend carrying some snacks or cereal bars as well as a full water bottle. If possible, bring a spare inner tube as well. I will be providing a snack buffet back at the indoor space, however I will not be able to cater for a full lunch, due to difficulties catering for dietary requirements.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to improve your child’s mountain biking skills while exploring the stunning scenery of the Otley Chevin. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Harry at 07769 318 569. We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
