For novice mountain bikers, who can ride safely on towpath style terrain, upto blue graded trails.

This session is tailored for older beginners who have basic off-road experience and are eager to enhance their mountain biking abilities. Join us as we work together to improve your riding skills and discover some of the best little trails that Yorkshire has to offer.

The Aims: Our main goals extend beyond simply enhancing your riding skills; we aim to showcase the best trails in all of Yorkshire. Throughout the session, we will focus on the following key areas:

  2. Balance: Develop the art of balancing on varied terrain, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride.
  3. Cornering: Master the techniques for confidently navigating corners with precision and speed.
  4. Braking for Pros: Refine your braking skills to maximize control and safety in any situation.
  5. Wheel Lifts: Discover how to lift your front or rear wheel to overcome obstacles and improve maneuverability.
  6. Prolonged Trails: Build endurance and stamina as you tackle longer trails with confidence.
  7. Crafty Climbing: Unlock the secrets of efficient climbing on challenging uphill sections.
  8. Bike Repairs as Required: Gain essential knowledge for handling basic bike repairs, ensuring you can address any issues that may arise.

Participants: To make the most of this mountain biking experience, please come prepared with the following:

  • Mountain Bike: Bring a working, decent quality mountain bike suitable for off-road riding, capable of enduring a 2-hour excursion.
